Iveco has announced the finalists for its fifth annual Iveco Mission Awards, celebrating its business customers and their vehicles that exemplify purpose-built performance across a wide range of real-world applications.
Launched in 2021, the Iveco Mission Awards highlight operators using their vehicles to deliver meaningful work, from construction and council services to sustainable transport and long-haul logistics. November’s event marks the first time the awards have included Iveco’s full line-up of light and heavy commercial vehicles.
Daily and eDaily take the spotlight
In the Construction & Utility category, ECL Civil Engineering earned recognition for its Iveco Daily Caged Tipper, chosen for its versatile Brit-Tipp body, practical Business Pack, and its repair and maintenance plan. Judges praised its reliability and adaptability to demanding engineering work. Joining it is Mammoth Site Storage and Toilet Hire, whose Daily flatbed features a custom body designed to transport and service sanitation units, complete with a 360° camera system for added safety.
Maidstone Borough Council has been shortlisted for its pair of eDaily Beavertails, within the Grounds Maintenance & Waste Management category. Built to transport ride-on mowers while integrating smart storage and safety features, judges commended the vehicles’ environmentally conscious design and suitability for daily municipal duties. Lewes District Council also features in this category, with its eDaily refuse collectors combining electric efficiency with comfort touches such as suspended seats and heated mirrors — a durable, long-term solution for sustainable waste operations.
The Alternative Fuels category brings two very different but equally inventive projects. Cheshire West and Chester Council impressed with its eDaily “Book Bus,” a mobile library that serves rural communities using three modular batteries and a fully accessible bodybuild. Meanwhile, Dunelm’s Daily CNG demonstrated how biomethane can power high-mileage urban deliveries while cutting emissions by up to 95%.
Finally, in Delivery & Distribution, Brocklehurst Transport Ltd earned recognition for its fleet of Daily curtainsiders, equipped for nationwide logistics with reversing cameras, extended mirrors and Dhollandia tail lifts. Agricultural services specialist Agrii completes the shortlist with five eDaily 7.2-tonne curtainsiders offering strong payloads, rapid charging and practical range for long-distance operations.
“For four years now, Iveco has put the spotlight on outstanding Daily and eDaily vans,” commented Mike Cutts, business line director at Iveco UK. “This year is no exception, with eight fantastic light vehicles that push the boundaries of capability.”
Winners from both the light and heavy commercial categories will be announced in November, following final judging by an expert industry panel.
