The UK’s van market will welcome a new contender in 2025 with the arrival of the Farizon SV, confirming details Professional Pickup first revealed in October. Brought to the UK by Jameel Motors, the official distributor, the SV represents a significant first step for Farizon Auto in Europe. Designed specifically for European fleets, the SV promises to deliver advanced technology and practical solutions for businesses transitioning to zero-emission vehicles.
Who Is Farizon Auto?
Farizon Auto is part of Geely, the Chinese manufacturing behemoth behind Volvo, Lotus and Polestar. Created in 2016, Farizon focuses on zero-emission technology commercial vehicles, from vans to heavy trucks.

, part of a Saudi-based family business employing 11,000 people worldwide, will use its extensive automotive distribution experience to bring the Farizon SV to the UK and other European markets.
What Is the Farizon SV
The Farizon SV has been designed specifically for Europe, according to the UK team. On sale in China already, where it’s known as the SuperVan, the Farizon SV is built on a dedicated electric platform that, with no need to find room to install a diesel powertrain, has fewer compromises than a traditional van.
“The Farizon SV was developed for the van users and fleets of today and tomorrow,” explains Andy Carroll, Farizon’s UK country manager, “and several world-first advanced technologies means it offers more cargo space, greater range and a more convenient and comfortable driver experience.”
The SV’s innovations extend to its drive-by-wire system — a first for the global van market — which improves handling, safety, and energy conservation. The system promises a smoother, safer drive by reducing stopping distances by 10% and increasing steering response by 300%.
Underpinning the SV’s performance are battery options starting with 67kWh and 83kWh packs. An even larger 106kWh option is planned to arrive later. Battery range is expected to be 205–225 miles under WLTP testing, rising to 342 miles in urban conditions. Hinting at impressive real-world range, Andy Carroll told Professional Pickup that the company wants to “under-promise and over-deliver in terms of range.”
The SV’s design bridges the medium and large van segments, offering a balance of size and capacity. Comparable to the Ford Transit Custom (L1H1) at one end and the Renault Master (L3H3) at the other, the Farizon SV provides flexibility for businesses across industries.
Cargo carrying is, of course, a key focus, with capacities ranging from 6.9m³ — marginally more than a Ford Transit Custom — to 13m³, a little short of the largest Renault Master E-Tech. A payload capacity of 1.1–1.3 tonnes is competitive and ensures it can handle most tasks while maintaining a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 3.5 tonnes. Towing limits are expected to be set at 2,000kg.
One innovation useful to drivers is the absence of a B pillar, creating a clear, obstruction-free path between the cab and cargo area. Combined with an ultra-low loading height of ‘just over 50cm’, loading and unloading should be easier than ever.
For drivers, the cabin balances modern technology with practicality. A 12.3-inch infotainment display provides access to key functions, while USB-A and USB-C ports ensure devices stay charged. Unlike some modern vehicles that over-rely on touchscreens, the SV retains physical controls for essential operations, minimising distractions and prioritising safety.
Extensive testing, including trials over more than a million miles across environments as diverse as Norway, the UK and the Middle East, should ensure reliability, so Farizon is backing the SV with a competitive four-year or 120,000-mile warranty.
Kitted out with a whole raft of advanced driver aids, The SV is also expected to meet, or exceed, all European safety and sustainability standards.
Farizon SV: Pricing and Availability
The Farizon SV will go on sale in the UK in the first few months of 2025, and first deliveries are anticipated to take place in late spring or early summer.
Jameel Motors plans to establish a network of 5–10 expertise centres across the country, anchored by a London flagship dealership and supported by a nationwide mobile service network.
