The electric light commercial vehicle (LCV) market in the UK is about to get a new entrant, with Farizon Auto set to launch its SuperVan in early 2025. Part of the Geely Holding Group, Farizon Auto is China’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturer and a pioneer in new energy vehicles (NEVs).
Designed for Modern Needs
The Farizon SuperVan is built on a dedicated electric platform, leveraging Farizon’s GXA-M intelligent architecture. This modern foundation allows the vehicle to deliver optimal space utilisation, intelligent features, and robust safety standards. Adaptable to a wide range of applications, the SuperVan offers multiple lengths, roof heights, and configurations, including cargo vans, passenger shuttles, and a highly customisable ‘X-Van’.
Its pillarless structure simplifies loading and unloading, while its high-strength steel frame promises durability and safety, meeting stringent EU crash regulations. Double-wishbone suspension further enhances handling and load-carrying capabilities.
In panel van form, the SuperVan will be available in three body lengths, from 4,990mm to 5,995mm, and three heights of 1,980–2,500mm. Farizon hasn’t detailed the payload and cargo volumes at this time, but the dimensions align the SuperVan with the Ford E-Transit and Vauxhall Movano Electric.
The vehicle’s design and engineering have undergone extensive testing in various regions, including the UK, Norway, and the Middle East, with over 1.7 million miles of trials completed.
As part of Farizon’s broader new energy portfolio, which includes hydrogen and methanol-powered vehicles, the SuperVan is a fully electric model. It emphasises zero-carbon emissions, aligning with the growing demand for greener transport solutions. By focusing on electric mobility, Farizon aims to provide UK businesses with a sustainable option for logistics and transport.
Farizon Global Expansion
The SuperVan’s UK debut is part of a larger international strategy, supported by Farizon’s partnership with Jameel Motors. With nearly 70 years of automotive distribution experience, Jameel Motors will play a crucial role in introducing Farizon’s electric commercial vehicles to multiple global markets.
In Europe, the SuperVan will be introduced in several key markets, including Spain, Portugal, and Central and Eastern Europe, as well as the UK.
