KGM to unveil next-generation Musso Rhino at CV Show • Professional Pickup

KGM will use this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show to unveil the next-generation Musso Rhino, giving visitors an early look at its new diesel pickup ahead of the model’s official UK launch on 1 July.

The truck was first revealed in January, when Professional Pickup reported on the new model.

The new truck will sit above the current Musso Saracen in the line-up and is intended to move the Musso range forward with a more modern design, a smarter cabin and a broader spread of technology, while still keeping the working ability pickup buyers expect.

Under the bonnet is KGM’s 2.2-litre e-XDi diesel engine, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and selectable four-wheel drive as standard. KGM says the new Musso Rhino will tow up to 3.5 tonnes and carry more than 1,000kg of payload, so it remains firmly aimed at buyers who need a pickup to do proper commercial work.

While the headline numbers are familiar enough, KGM is promising a clear step forward elsewhere. The new model gets a more upright, assertive exterior design and, according to the company, a significantly improved interior with better materials, more integrated technology,, and a more refined overall feel than the current truck.

Equipment highlights include a 3D around-view monitor, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wider spread of driver assistance systems such as Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control and Intelligent Speed Warning. Off-road-focused features include a limited-slip differential and Clear Sight Ground View.

KGM is now shaping up with a much broader LCV offering than before. Alongside the diesel Musso Rhino, the brand will also display the new Musso EV at the show, giving it both diesel and electric options in the segment, as well as the Rexton Commercial 4×4.
