Eaglesham Garage in Glasgow was named Dealer of the Year for Excellence in Customer Service, recognising what Isuzu described as professionalism across the business and a strong commitment to customers from every department.

The Isuzu UK Special Recognition Award went to George Mackenzie of Corrie Motors Isuzu in Inverness. Mackenzie began working in the family garage in 1968 while still at school, with Isuzu joining the dealership’s franchise portfolio in 2014.

Isuzu said the award recognised his passion for the automotive industry, his partnership with the brand, and his dedication to customers and staff.

Other individual awards went to Jason Ditchburn of Ditchburn Truck Services in Merseyside, Dave Matthews of Startin Tractors Isuzu in Atherstone, and Mark Bond of Roger Young Isuzu in Saltash, Cornwall. Each was named among the Heroes of Isuzu UK after being nominated by Isuzu UK regional managers.

Roger Young was named Parts Dealer of the Year for the third consecutive year, while S&S Services in Ayr won Accessories Dealer of the Year. The Marketing award went to David Taylor Garages in Crickhowell.

Area Dealer of the Year awards were also presented to Startin Tractors of Twycross, Roger Young, John Barr Cars of Antrim, and the overall winner, York Van Centre.

Alan Able, managing director of Isuzu UK, said: “We thank all our dealers for their ongoing enthusiasm and commitment to Isuzu UK.

“We have an exciting period ahead, with the launch of the recently showcased Isuzu D-Max 2.2 diesel pick-up and the first all-electric D-Max EV.

“These awards highlight the passion shared for the Isuzu brand as well as formally recognising dealers who have delivered exceptional performance within their businesses.

“We congratulate our winners and recognise all our Isuzu UK partners, as we power through the next 12 months with new products and a strong retail network.”

Tony Huggins, owner of York Van Centre, said: “Wow. I can only say ‘happy days’! We are very committed to Isuzu and we’ve won our fair share of awards, but to take three big titles this year is very special.

“Of course it’s the whole team that deserves the recognition: it simply wouldn’t happen without them, and after celebrating we’re all looking forward to another exciting year ahead.”

George Mackenzie, owner of Corrie Motors Isuzu, said: “I’m just stunned, this award was so unexpected but of course, whilst it’s me who has been singled out it’s the team behind me that’s made this happen.

“There is a real family feel, both in our dealership and within Isuzu UK. It’s a great brand to be involved with and I’m incredibly honoured.”
