Ford is gearing up to reveal the new Ford Ranger truck, inviting everybody to an online event on 24 November where the next-generation pickup will be seen undisguised for the first time.

Ford has taken the existing Ranger and reimagined, redesigned and reengineered the pickup to be the most capable Ranger ever. It’s conducted more than 5,000 interviews with pickup owners around the world and invited users to workshops to find out how owners used their trucks, what they liked, what they wished it had and what experiences mattered the most to them.

This approach has helped Ford design and engineer solutions with the next-generation Ranger that customers wanted and would appreciate; a demanding task when the new truck will be available across more than 180 markets.

“As designers, we engaged with customers much earlier in the process, spent more time with them and got more insights than ever before”, said Max Tran, the new Ford Ranger’s chief designer. “Interestingly, we found that no matter what market, our customers are doers. They like solving their own problems, and they like to feel confident in their truck … not just the way the vehicle functions but the way they feel when they’re driving it.”
