The all-electric Iveco eDaily 42S van will leave the factory fitted with Continental rubber, with a choice of summer, winter and all-season tyres available.

The van can be equipped with Continental’s VanContact Ultra, VanContact Eco, VanContact 4Season or VanContact Winter tyres, depending on operating conditions. Continental says that all of the tyres are designed to meet the demands of electric vans, with a focus on energy efficiency, durability and safety.

Continental VanContact Ultra to be fitted to Iveco eDaily

The VanContact Ultra is aimed at delivery fleets and trades, with reinforced sidewalls for urban kerb strikes, “stone stoppers” to prevent tread damage, and a long service life. The VanContact Eco prioritises low rolling resistance to maximise driving range — particularly useful in stop-start city traffic.

For operators who want year-round coverage, the VanContact 4Season promises good handling on dry roads as well as strong grip and braking in wet, muddy or snowy conditions. In harsher climates, the VanContact Winter is optimised for traction, short braking distances and steering precision in cold weather.

Continental says all four tyre lines have been engineered with electric vehicles in mind, like the Iveco eDaily, with low rolling noise, reduced resistance, and high durability helping both to extend EV range and cut emissions on combustion-powered vans.
