Isuzu has renewed its partnership with GB Pointing for the 2025/26 season, the second year that the brand will serve as Headline Partner of British Point-to-Pointing. The link-up strengthens the D-Max pickup maker’s ties with the rural community at the heart of the UK’s countryside.

The partnership sees Isuzu’s pickup continuing to support one of Britain’s most traditional grassroots equestrian sports, where amateur riders, horses, and trainers gain experience before progressing to the professional ranks. More than 70% of national hunt jockeys and over a third of licensed trainers are said to have started their careers pointing.

“We’re delighted to see Isuzu continuing its commitment as Headline Partner for a second season,” said Paul Miller, chief executive of the Point-to-Point Authority. “The brand’s enthusiasm for Point-to-Pointing has been fantastic to witness, and their involvement helps bring our sport to new audiences across the UK.”

As well as being about brand visibility, for Isuzu the partnership is also about cultural alignment. Point-to-Point racing takes place at more than 80 courses across the UK, often in remote rural locations that perfectly suit the D-Max’s blend of practicality and off-road ability.

“The bond between our two worlds is a natural fit; both are rooted in rural life, resilience, and performance,” explained George Wallis, head of marketing at Isuzu UK. “Just as riders trust their horses to tackle tough terrain, our customers trust the D-Max to take on every challenge.”

Isuzu has long marketed its D-Max as a hard-working pickup, and its presence at Point-to-Point events underlines that positioning. The sport’s calendar stretches from Devon to Cumbria, and provides a direct connection to the farmers, landowners, and rural businesses that make up much of the D-Max’s core customer base.

By backing the sport for a second consecutive year, Isuzu is reaffirming its role within the countryside community that relies on its vehicles every day.
