The Isuzu D-Max Safir is the new limited-edition pickup truck, built in conjunction with Arctic Trucks.

Based on the D-Max AT35 Auto, the Safir features a whole host of new styling cues and is limited to just 10 models in the UK.

Apart from its distinctive ‘Sapphire Blue Mica’ paintwork, there is a range of styling cues that help the Safir stand out from the crowd. Isuzu has fitted a silver rear sports bar, silver Mountain Top roller cover and ‘Safir’ branded aluminium under-guard to give it a sporty and athletic appearance.

At the front, two Lazer lights have been integrated into the front bumper and a roof light bar positioned just above the windscreen. The Safir also gets an exclusive set of ‘Hyper Dark’ diamond-cut finish 17-inch alloy wheels.

Isuzu has also spruced up the interior, adding bespoke leather seats – which have been developed especially for Arctic Trucks models – and have been finished in blue stitching to highlight the ‘sapphire’ theme. Like the new D-Max XTR, the Safir also features a D-shaped steering wheel and has been trimmed in leather and suede with blue stitching.

The Safir benefits from a long specification list and features the upgraded audio system with a 9.0-inch touchscreen display with Arctic Trucks logo, nine speakers (including subwoofer) and an HDMI Port. There’s also a wireless charger that has been fitted in the top glove box, and a front camera is located on the front bumper.

As you can imagine with such an extravagant looking machine, the Isuzu D-Max Safir comes at a price. At £45,000 plus VAT, the Safir is almost £8,000 more than the standard D-Max AT35 but it retains the 3.5t towing capacity, 125,000-mile / 5-year warranty (whichever comes first) and 5-year roadside assistance in the UK and across Europe.
