If you ask people to name the coolest vehicle from the Back To The Future film franchise, most people will instantly say the time-travelling DeLorean but here, at Professional Pickup, that would be met by a raucous cry of “Great Scott!”
The answer is clearly Marty McFly’s black Toyota Hilux SR5 pickup, a Deluxe 4×4 Xtracab model that graced all three movies.
The brick-wizards at Playmobil clearly agree as they have now released a model of the 1985 Toyota Hilux, complete with spot lamps and sports bars, as it appeared in Back to the Future. Marty, Jennifer and Biff Tannen figures complete the set, and a collectors postcard is thrown in too.

The Toyota Hilux playset is the fourth in the Playmobil range to immortalise the antics of Marty McFly, with the DeLorean, the hoverboard chase across the town square from Back to the Future Part II and a double-figure pack of Marty and Doc Brown previously released.
Some assembly of the Hilux is required, but it’s not going to be too much of a challenge; the set does, after all, have an age range of 4+ so even the most inept amongst us should be able to figure it all out.
There are a few nice touches too, with a dropping tailgate and lifting bonnet. Biff even has a cloth and polish bottle to detail the truck before Marty takes Jennifer for a ride up to the lake…
You can get your hands on the hottest truck in Hill Valley in the shops for around £50, or online at Amazon.co.uk for around £40
