Electric KGM Musso EV pickup confirmed for UK as signs point to imminent arrival • Professional Pickup

The electric pickup market in the UK looks set to gain a new entrant, with the KGM Musso EV now appearing firmly on the radar ahead of an expected launch.

While KGM has yet to make a formal public announcement, multiple indicators suggest the Musso EV is being prepared for sale in the UK. The model has now appeared on CAP valuation guides, a step that typically happens only when a vehicle is moving towards leasing and fleet availability.

That position is reinforced by conversations with KGM sources, who have confirmed the Musso EV is coming to the UK, as well as industry reports indicating that pricing and leasing structures are already being finalised ahead of order books opening.

A different approach to the electric pickup

We’ve driven the Musso EV in the UK, and unlike most pickups sold here, the Musso EV is not derived from a traditional ladder-frame commercial platform. Instead, it is based on KGM’s electric SUV architecture, resulting in a double-cab, all-wheel-drive pickup that prioritises refinement and day-to-day usability over outright payload and towing figures.

That positioning places it firmly in the lifestyle and leisure end of the pickup market, rather than as a direct replacement for diesel workhorses such as the Ford Ranger or Isuzu D-Max.

KGM has previously indicated that the Musso EV is aimed at buyers who want the versatility and image of a pickup, but with the driving characteristics and running costs more closely aligned with an electric SUV.

KGM Musso EV: UK pricing and availability

While KGM has not yet confirmed UK pricing or specifications, industry sources suggest the Musso EV is being priced from around £40,000, with leasing availability expected to follow shortly after launch.

The vehicle is already on sale in South Korea, and UK-market cars are understood to be entering the final stages of preparation, including homologation and commercial setup.

For now, KGM remains tight-lipped on exact timings, but we understand that a UK arrival is just weeks rather than months away.
