Vauxhall has revealed full details of the upcoming Movano Hydrogen, a zero-emissions van designed for long-range journeys with a maximum WLTP-rated range of 311 miles. Priced from £70,400 (excluding VAT and fees), the hydrogen-powered van is set to expand Vauxhall’s light commercial vehicle (LCV) line-up when orders open in spring 2025.
The Movano Hydrogen is powered by a 110kW (150hp) electric motor delivering 410Nm of torque. Energy comes from a Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell with a 45kW output, supported by four hydrogen tanks capable of storing up to 7kg of hydrogen at 700 bar. This setup enables quick refuelling in under five minutes, making it a practical choice for fleet operators and businesses with demanding schedules. An 11kWh lithium-ion battery supports acceleration, and stores energy recovered during braking, with recharging possible in approximately 90 minutes via an 11kW AC charger.
Hydrogen Highlights
Available exclusively in Prime trim, the Movano Hydrogen is equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen featuring TomTom navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, digital radio, and Bluetooth connectivity. A seven-inch digital instrument cluster provides essential driving data, while voice control enhances usability.
Practical features include rear parking sensors, automatic air conditioning, an electric parking brake, and heated, electrically adjustable door mirrors. Inside, the van offers thoughtful touches like cup holders, a mobile phone compartment, and keyless entry. The driver’s seat is six-way adjustable with lumbar support and an armrest, paired with a dual passenger bench seat.
The Movano Hydrogen builds on Vauxhall’s hydrogen expertise developed under parent company Stellantis. It joins the Vivaro Hydrogen, which has been undergoing trials with UK fleets this year. The trials aim to test hydrogen’s viability for commercial use.
In addition to hydrogen power, Vauxhall has offered electric versions of its entire LCV range since 2021, including the Combo Electric, Vivaro Electric, and Movano Electric.

Pricing for the Movano Hydrogen starts at £70,400, excluding VAT and charges, for the L3 H2 Panel Van and £72,020 for the larger L4 H3 version. The government’s Plug-in Van Grant will take £5,000 off those prices.
Orders are expected to open in spring 2025.
