Volkswagen has expanded its Transporter range with the introduction of two new trim levels: Commerce Pro S, aimed at buyers seeking a sharper-looking working van, and Sportline, which sits as a premium, design-led flagship.
Both trims will be available on panel van and Kombi body styles, and across diesel, plug-in hybrid and fully electric powertrains.
Volkswagen Transporter Commerce Pro S: Cosmetic upgrade for owner-operators
The more relevant of the two additions for most buyers is the Commerce Pro S, which builds on the existing Commerce Pro specification with a series of exterior and interior styling upgrades rather than mechanical changes.
Key additions include gloss black 17-inch alloy wheels, a body-coloured front splitter, a rear spoiler, gloss black grille detailing, and black mirror caps. Inside, it gains illuminated scuff plates, a high-gloss black display surround and illuminated vanity mirrors.
The result is a Transporter that looks more purposeful and modern without straying into overtly lifestyle territory — a sweet spot for owner-operators who want something smarter than a basic fleet van but don’t want to sacrifice usability or value.
Volkswagen Transporter Sportline: Flagship trim returns
Above the Commerce Pro S sits the new Transporter Sportline, returning the Sportline badge to the latest-generation Transporter as a top-of-the-range option.
Sportline adds more extensive visual changes, including Sportline-specific front and rear bumpers, side skirts, roof rails, gloss black exterior detailing, and exclusive 19-inch alloy wheels. Suspension is lowered by 29mm, giving the van a noticeably more planted stance.
Inside, Sportline gains eco-leather sports seats with red stitching, a heated leather steering wheel, Sportline-branded trim and additional ambient lighting. A broad suite of driver assistance and convenience features is included as standard, including an Area View camera system and keyless access.
A limited-run Sportline 75 special edition will also be offered to mark 75 years of the Volkswagen Bus, finished in exclusive Moss Green paint with bespoke interior detailing. Only 75 examples will be produced.
Volkswagen Transporter Commerce Pro S and Sportline: Pricing and availability
Commerce Pro S pricing starts at £44,305 plus VAT for the short-wheelbase panel van, rising to £45,175 for the long-wheelbase. Five-seat Kombi models are priced from £45,685, with the LWB version costing £46,555. Order books open in late February, with first deliveries expected in April.
The Sportline sits significantly higher in the range, with prices starting at £52,360 plus VAT for a short-wheelbase diesel panel van and £53,230 for the long-wheelbase. Kombi versions are priced from £54,340 to £55,210 plus VAT. Orders open in April, ahead of deliveries beginning in May.
The limited edition Sportline 75 panel van is available at £53,860 plus VAT, with the Kombi model costing £55,840.
All new trim levels benefit from Volkswagen’s 5+ Promise, which includes a five-year warranty, servicing, MOTs and roadside assistance at no extra cost.
