Vauxhall is set to display its expanding range of electric vehicles at the 49th National Association of Police Fleet Managers’ Conference in Telford.
Among the models showcased at the Police conference
are a marked Corsa Electric patrol car, a Vivaro Electric cell van, and the new Astra Electric. Representatives from Vauxhall’s special vehicle operations team will also be present at the conference.
This event extends Vauxhall’s established association with the UK’s Police Forces. Both Vauxhall and the forces are quickly transitioning to electric fleets. Vauxhall, a significant partner to several Forces, will offer electric versions of all its vehicles starting next year and aims to be an exclusively electric manufacturer by 2028.
Over 100 Vivaro Electric vans are already serving the UK Police Force, with the first units being in operation for over a year. Additionally, since 2021, more than 200 Corsa Electric vehicles have been used as neighbourhood patrol cars, while the forthcoming Astra Electric is also receiving attention from various forces ahead of its release in the summer.
Before its launch, the Astra Electric is being tailored by fleet specialists to meet police vehicle standards.
