Sales of Stellantis vans — the company behind Citroen, Fiat, Peugeot and Vauxhall — increased by more than 40% in June, according to the latest new car and van registration figures
published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.
Total sales of light commercial vehicles (LCVs) for the month across all four brands increased from 7,333 to 10,248, giving the parent company a total share of 29.2% of the UK LCV market.
The Citroen Berlingo van took the top spot as the country’s best-selling small van in June. In total, 9,916 Berlingo Vans have been registered in the UK since the start of the year.
Ford remains the largest single manufacturer, taking nearly a third of the entire LCV market, led by the Transit and Transit Custom vans and the Ranger pickup.
Stellantis also had a share of 47.6% of the electric LCV market in June, with Vauxhall remaining the best-selling eLCV manufacturer; the Vauxhall Vivaro Electric was the best-selling eLCV overall.

“Stellantis is fast becoming the leading manufacturer for LCVs in the UK,” commented Tony Lewis, Stellantis LCV director. “With our two UK van manufacturing plants and being well ahead of the UK Government’s deadline for the move to electric LCVs, we’re proud to be supporting British business move to an electrified future.”
Stellantis is the only volume manufacturer of light commercial vehicles in the UK, with production plants at Luton and Ellesmere Port. Luton builds the Vauxhall and Opel Vivaro, Peugeot Expert, Citroen Dispatch and Fiat Ducato. The Ellesmere Port plant is being redeveloped to be the group’s first solely electric production site and will start building Vauxhall Combo Electric, Peugeot e-Partner and Citroen e-Berlingo from summer this year.
