Renault is simplifying its range of light commercial vehicles and cutting prices of its popular van range by as much as £4,600.

The Renault van range will adopt the same model structure as the recently-launched Kangoo for the new year. The Renault Trafic van will now be available in Start, Advance, Extra and Extra Sport specifications, while the larger Master and conversions will be limited to just Start and Advance.

The Trafic Passenger vehicle will be offered in Start and Extra trim levels.

Renault Trafic van prices cut

The result of these changes is a reduction in models of 38%, simplifying the manufacturer’s commercial range and reducing the model count from 161 to a core of 100 distinct models. Improved clarity for customers, efficiencies in production and supply, and reduced lead times will all benefit those ordering a new vehicle.

A further benefit is a significant cost reduction, ranging from £3,100 to £4,600, depending on the model.

Renault Trafic van prices now start at £25,500 plus VAT, while the Trafic Passenger range begins at £30,000 plus VAT. The larger Master van is now priced from £29,750 plus VAT, and the versatile range of Master Conversions starts with the Chassis Cab, now with a £30,000 plus VAT price tag.

Pre-orders for the newly revised range are open now, with first customer deliveries expected early in 2023.
