The Renault Master has been named Van of the Year at the What Car? Van and Commercial Vehicle Awards 2025, earning recognition for its cargo capacity, fuel efficiency, user-friendly interior, and safety features.
In addition to the top accolade and the Best Large Van win, the battery-powered Renault Master E-Tech was awarded Best Large Electric Van. These wins highlight Renault’s successful efforts to provide both traditional and zero-emission options for businesses.
Renault also took home another title, with the Kangoo E-Tech named Best Small Electric Van. With a range of up to 186 miles and a flexible payload, it’s a practical choice for smaller operations. That takes the manufacturer’s tally to three category wins and the overall title.

Ford also had a successful showing, with the Transit Custom retaining the Best Medium Van award and the E-Transit Custom earning recognition as Best Medium Electric Van. The updated Ford Transit Courier was named Best Small ICE Van, thanks to its practical design, modern safety tech, and improved payload options.
In the pickup category, the Ford Ranger was recognised as Best Pickup. Its performance, technology, and versatility make it a favourite among UK businesses, bringing Ford its fourth category win.
While Renault and Ford dominated the van categories, Volkswagen won the Best Van-based MPV award with its Volkswagen ID Buzz LWB, and the Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo beat the competition to the Best Camper Van title.
