London Electric Vehicle Company (LEVC) is supplying 60 VN5 electric vans to one of the UK’s leading providers of EV charging infrastructure, Pod Point.
Pod Point’s engineers will use the LEVC VN5 electric vans when installing charging points across the UK, as well as helping the business to maintain its network of more than 6,200 public charging bays. The VN5 is ideally suited to Pod Point’s fleet requirements, thanks to the flexibility the eCity powertrain offers.
The VN5’s large side-loading door and 60/40 split rear door will make accessing the installation equipment simple and efficient for Pod Point’s installers. Coupled with a turning circle of just 10.1m, the VN5 offers excellent mobility in busy city environments.
The VN5 electric van is based on the same architecture and eCity technology as LEVC’s TX electric taxi, and provides a pure EV range of 64 miles with a total flexible range of 319 miles, making it suitable for urban deliveries in zero-emission mode, as well as longer journeys.

The introduction of the LEVC VN5 to the Pod Point vehicle fleet follows a year of growth for the EV charging provider across both its home and commercial customer segments, leading to an increase in headcount by 66%, to 409 employees, including 60 dedicated in-house installers.
Ensuring the VN5 had everything Pod Point needed, the vans feature bespoke racking and storage solutions installed by Sortimo, an authorised conversion partner of LEVC.
