Peugeot has revealed the new Expert Sport van, a motorsport-inspired addition to its light commercial vehicle range. Drawing from the brand’s racing heritage — although being careful not to use the Peugeot Sport branding — the Expert Sport brings performance styling, an upgraded interior, and additional equipment to add excitement to deliveries.
Enhanced style and equipment
The Expert Sport van receives a bespoke body kit, including a front lip spoiler to give it a more aggressive stance, side skirts with integrated protective front mudguards, and a newly styled rear bumper. A distinctive ‘Kryptonite’ rear spoiler adds to the sporty aesthetic. The Kryptonite livery also extends to grille highlights and unique badging, including a bold trim line along the van’s flanks. Completing the styling update are Y-Spoke 18-inch alloy wheels fitted with high-load capacity Nankang tyres.
Inside, the Expert Sport features hand-crafted eco-leather seats with bold Kryptonite stitching and perforated material for improved ventilation. The seats also feature an embossed ‘SPORT’ logo.
Peugeot says the eco-leather material is scratchproof, tear-resistant, hard-wearing, breathable, and moisture-regulating, making it well-suited to the demands of a working van.
Beyond styling, Peugeot has equipped the Expert Sport with added features over and above the Asphalt trim. It comes with dual-zone electronic climate control, keyless entry and start, wireless smartphone charging, a heated leather steering wheel, a heated driver’s seat, and thorax-side airbags for added safety.
As with the Asphalt models, the Sport van is also equipped with Peugeot’s i-Connect infotainment system, which features a 10.0-inch touchscreen with TomTom 3D navigation, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and ‘OK Peugeot’ voice control integrated with ChatGPT. Front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot detection, flank guard, LED headlights, and a 180-degree reversing camera are also in place.
Performance power
Peugeot is offering the Expert Sport in two power options. Most will opt for the 2.0-litre diesel engine delivering 180hp paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, making the Sport the most powerful model in the Expert range.
The E-Expert Sport version shares the same 136hp electric motor as other E-Expert models, with a 75kWh battery pack providing up to 209 miles of range between charges.
Peugeot Expert Sport pricing and availability
The Peugeot Expert Sport will be available to order from 1 April, starting from £41,295 plus VAT and OTR charges. The electric E-Expert Sport starts at £51,845 but is eligible for the government’s plug-in van grant, reducing the price by £5,000.
