Motor Parts Direct (MPD) is bolstering its delivery fleet with more than 300 Renault Kangoo vans, using the compact LCV to keep garages stocked and vehicles on the road.

The UK’s largest independent motor factor will use the new vans to deliver parts daily from its 184 branches to independent and franchised workshops across the country. Around 240 of the vans will replace existing vehicles, while the remainder will support MPD’s new branches and ongoing growth.

Supplied through Pentagon Corporate Fleet, part of Motus Group UK, the vans are all specified in Advance trim. Standard kit includes an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, DAB radio, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Each has also been fitted with ply lining and floor protection to handle the demands of daily delivery work.

The vans are powered by Renault’s dCi 95 diesel engine paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. MPD expects each Kangoo to cover around 110 miles per day, 24 days a month, over a four-year/120,000-mile replacement cycle.

“Our drivers cover thousands of miles every day to ensure our customers get the parts they need quickly and reliably,” explained Keith Rylance, fleet operations and asset manager at Motor Parts Direct. “The Renault Kangoo offers the right balance of total cost of ownership, specification and support, which makes it an excellent fit for our business. This order helps us not only to refresh our fleet but also to expand into new areas as we continue to grow.”

The order followed a competitive tender process, with Renault’s pricing, nationwide dealer coverage, and aftersales support proving decisive. Once deliveries are completed in June 2026, Renault vehicles will account for more than a third of MPD’s operational delivery fleet.

Justin Costello, head of fleet at Renault UK, added: “Motor Parts Direct’s decision to expand its fleet with 300 Kangoo vans underlines the model’s reputation for practicality, efficiency and dependability in demanding business environments. The fact that MPD has already experienced first-hand the strength of our aftersales support shows the value we can bring beyond the vehicle itself. We look forward to supporting their operations nationwide.”

The Renault Kangoo is available in petrol, diesel, and fully electric E-Tech guises, with both short- and long-wheelbase options, as well as a crew van variant. Depending on specification, it offers up to 4.2m³ of load space and payloads approaching one tonne, making it amongst the most versatile compact vans on the market.
