SsangYong will be using this week’s British Motor Show for the UK premiere of its updated Musso pickup truck.
Taking place in Farnborough from 19th to 22nd August, the British Motor Show
is returning after a 13-year absence with a new organiser, Automotion Events. Held at Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre, the show promises to be a fun family day out and is being described as “a show like no other motor show ever seen.”
SsangYong at the Show
The updated Musso pickup truck will make its UK debut at the motor show. Featuring a bold new front end and updated technology, it’s a relatively minor mid-life update that gives the pickup far greater road presence, much like its rivals from the likes of Ford, Toyota and Isuzu.
The show stand will also feature the brand’s flagship seven-seater SUV, Rexton, as well as the Korando family SUV and compact Tivoli SUV. Details will also be available on SsangYong’s first pure-electric vehicle, the Korando e-Motion, which is set to launch in November this year.
As well as displaying its latest vehicles on its motor show stand, SsangYong, along with new dealer Normandy Garage of Guildford, will host a test-drive area within the show grounds where visitors will be able to experience driving the facelifted Musso, Rexton and Korando first-hand.

The 2021 British Motor Show
This year’s British Motor Show will be officially opened at 10am on Thursday by The British Army Lightning Bolts parachute team, who will then return on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, dropping into the live arena from 20,000ft at noon each day.
At the heart of the show will be the Live Stage, hosted by CAR SOS duo Tim Shaw and Fuzz Townshend, who is also a SsangYong brand ambassador. The pair will be interviewing a variety of celebrities and automotive influencers, including TV star Vicki Butler-Henderson, YouTube legend Yianni Charalambous and BTCC racer Ash Sutton.
Meanwhile, TV motoring pundit Mike Brewer will be hosting the Live Arena. Over four days, the arena will see a mixture of thrills and spills, as well as parades and comparisons of some of the star cars at the show.
Twice daily, Paul Swift’s stunt team will wow the crowds with a stunt extravaganza, featuring sideways and two-wheel driving, while another key highlight will be the supercar parades, in which an amazing selection of the world’s most exotic cars will rumble into the arena and make some noise.
Elsewhere at the show, there’ll be a classic car parade and a twice-daily show of motorsport exhibitors, along with Mike Brewer’s own group tests of some of the most important new cars at the show, from EVs to SUVs. The event will close each day with a round of car football – The British Motor Show’s very own celebrity rendition of the Euro 2020 football championship final, with Minis and Fiats representing England and Italy.
The Select Electric Motor Show area will be packed full of the latest EVs, a supercar paddock will feature more than 50 supercars a day. The show will also feature the Automotive Careers Expo, which will run throughout the event and support the automotive sector and its employees as the Covid-19 Pandemic comes to an end.

Tickets for the show are available at £18.50 per person, or £37 for a family ticket, and can be purchased in advance from TheBritishMotorShow.live website, or at the gate.
