KGM has launched the new Musso Rhino and long-wheelbase Musso Rhino+ in the UK, with prices starting from £38,995 plus VAT.
The new models sit above the existing Rebel and Saracen versions in the current Musso range, bringing revised styling, an upgraded interior and stronger working credentials.
KGM describes the Musso Rhino and Rhino+ as the next generation of its pickup, although the new models appear to be a substantial update of the existing Musso rather than a clean-sheet replacement. The passenger cell, doors and wheelbase appear to be carried over, while the pickup uses a modified version of the current ladder-frame chassis.
That shouldn’t necessarily count against it. The Musso’s existing appeal has always been built around towing capacity, payload and value, and the new Rhino models continue to lean heavily into that working-vehicle brief.

Working ability remains the main selling point
Both Rhino and Rhino+ offer 3.5-tonne towing capacity. The standard Rhino has a gross train weight of 6,750kg, while the longer Rhino+ increases that to a class-leading 6,900kg.
Payload is 1,090kg for the Rhino and 1,200kg for the Rhino+, meaning both versions comfortably clear the one-tonne mark expected of a commercial pickup.
The load bed offers 1,011 litres of load volume, while the Rhino+ increases that to 1,262 litres, which KGM claims makes it the biggest pickup load bed on the road by volume.
Load bed length is 1,300mm, or 1,610mm on the longer Rhino+. Both models share a 1,570mm load bed width and 570mm depth, with a standard load liner, eight tie-down hooks, an LED load bed light, a wide-opening tailgate, and rear bumper corner steps.

Selectable 4×4 and useful ground clearance
Both versions are powered by KGM’s 2.2-litre e-XDi diesel engine, producing 202hp and 400Nm of torque, paired with an Aisin six-speed automatic gearbox.
Selectable four-wheel drive is standard, with 2WD high range, 4WD high range and 4WD low range modes. Hill start assist, hill descent control and a locking differential are also included.
Minimum ground clearance for the Rhino is 245mm, with a 30.9-degree approach angle and 27.8-degree departure angle. The Rhino+ offers 248mm ground clearance, with slightly tighter 30.6-degree approach and 24.5-degree departure angles.
Bolder looks, better cabin
Visually, the latest Musso gets a more assertive front end, new lighting signature, revised headlamps, LED rear clusters, a bolder grille, 18-inch brushed chrome alloy wheels, silver side steps, black and silver roof rails, Rhino graphics and an embossed KGM tailgate.
Inside, the Rhino models get a much more modern cabin than the outgoing Musso, with dual 12.3-inch displays, TomTom navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, rear USB-C ports, DAB radio, Bluetooth and steering wheel controls.

Standard equipment includes Nappa leather seats, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, power-adjustable front seats, automatic dual-zone air conditioning, rear air vents, smart key, push-button start, remote engine start, rain-sensing wipers and intelligent adaptive cruise control.
Safety equipment includes six airbags, Electronic Stability Programme, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, ABS, traction control, brake assist, lane keeping assist, lane change warning, blind spot detection, rear cross traffic alert, safety exit warning, hill start assist, hill descent control and trailer sway control.
A 360-degree 3D surround view monitoring system is also fitted, along with a rear-view camera and Clear Sight View to support towing and manoeuvring.

Kevin Griffin, managing director at KGM Motors UK, said: “Musso is a name with real strength and great value in the pickup sector, and the all-new Musso Rhino and Rhino+ represent a major step forward for the brand.
“These models bring together the durability and work-ready capability customers expect from KGM, while adding a more confident design, a significantly upgraded cabin and the latest convenience and safety technology.”
He added: “For business users, rural customers and lifestyle drivers alike, Musso Rhino and Rhino+ deliver a compelling balance of strength, comfort and value. With 3.5-tonne towing, payloads of up to 1,200kg and a highly specified interior, this is the next chapter for Korea’s original pickup.”
