Volkswagen has added a new layer of versatility to its Transporter range with the launch of the latest Kombi model. Designed for professionals who need to carry both crew and cargo, the Transporter Kombi Commerce Plus is now available to order, priced from £35,250 plus VAT.
This new variant offers seating for five as standard, with the option to add a sixth seat, making it a practical choice for tradespeople who need to transport both their team and their tools. Customers can choose between short and long-wheelbase models, offering flexibility depending on the amount of space required in the load area.
Power comes from a 2.0-litre TDI engine, with a battery-electric eTransporter Kombi expected to follow later this summer. That will give operators the option of a lower-emissions drivetrain without compromising the vehicle’s everyday usability.
Inside the Kombi Commerce Plus, Volkswagen has included a comprehensive list of standard equipment. The cab features a 12.0-inch digital driver display and a large 13.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which supports wireless smartphone connectivity and DAB radio. Air conditioning, a leatherette-trimmed multifunction steering wheel, and practical rubber flooring are all part of the package, as are USB charging points for both front and rear passengers.
Externally, the Kombi comes with LED headlights, body-coloured bumpers and mirrors, and a tailgate at the rear for easy access to the load area. Safety and convenience features include cruise control, lane assist, front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, and a suite of driver assistance systems.
For those who want a more premium setup, the Kombi Commerce Pro trim adds silver alloy wheels, a heated windscreen, privacy glass for the rear, adaptive cruise control, and enhanced parking and collision-avoidance technologies. It also upgrades the climate control and introduces additional USB sockets throughout the cabin.
All Transporter Kombi models come with Volkswagen’s enhanced 5+ Promise, which includes five services, three MOTs, a five-year warranty, and five years of roadside assistance at no extra cost.

The new Transporter Kombi is available to order now from Volkswagen’s UK Van Centres, priced from £35,250 plus VAT for a Commerce Plus SWB 110PS 2.0 TDI Manual, and rising to £44,450 for a four-wheel-drive high-spec Commerce Pro LWB 150PS 2.0 TDI Automatic. The battery-electric version is due to arrive later in the summer.
