Dacia is bringing affordability to the electric van market with its all-new Spring Cargo, priced at just £14,995 plus VAT. Billed as the UK’s most budget-friendly compact electric van, the Spring Cargo offers a practical, zero-emissions option for urban deliveries.
Small Van, Big Payload
This van isn’t just about being affordable; it’s cleverly reimagined from Dacia’s Spring electric car. Dacia has removed the rear seats and added a mesh bulkhead to make it work for business needs, transforming the interior into a practical load area. The N1 classified Spring Cargo remains compact at just 3.7 metres long. Its tight-turning circle of 9.6 metres makes it ideal for zipping through city streets.
Despite its small size, the van offers a useful payload of 370kg and 1,085 litres of load volume, accessed through the rear doors or tailgate.

Powertrain and Specification
The Spring Cargo is powered by a 65hp electric motor with a 26.8kWh battery. According to Dacia, drivers can expect up to 186 miles of range on the WLTP urban cycle or around 140 miles on a mixed cycle, meaning city errands and short-distance work trips can easily be covered. When it’s time for a quick recharge, the battery goes from 20% to 80% in 45 minutes with fast charging at a maximum rate of 34kW.
The Spring Cargo keeps things straightforward with a single colour option: Polar White. The standard equipment list is pretty generous, featuring a 10-inch display with Media Nav Live and smartphone replication that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Bluetooth connectivity, a USB port, manual air conditioning, cruise control, remote central locking, electric front windows, and parking aids, including front and rear sensors and a reversing camera, are also included in the surprisingly comprehensive equipment list.
An interesting perk for businesses is the van’s bi-directional vehicle-to-load capability, which can power external 240V devices — handy for tools or accessories on the job.
Dacia Spring Cargo: Pricing and Availability
The Dacia Spring Cargo will be available from any Dacia dealer
for £14,995 plus VAT. It will also be eligible for the government’s plug-in van grant (PiVG), reducing the cost by £2,500 at current rates.
Dacia also promises business contract hire rates from £149 plus VAT a month on a three-year contract, after the PiVG and an initial payment of £894.
The first customers should take delivery of their Dacia Spring Cargo in December.
