Renault’s new Master has won the prestigious Van of the Year 2025 title, awarded by the International Van Of The Year (IVOTY) jury at the IAA Transportation event in Hanover on 16 September 2024. The accolade marks Renault’s fifth win in the IVOTY competition, reinforcing the brand’s position as a leader in light commercial vehicles.

The new Renault Master impressed the jury with its innovative Aerovan design and multi-energy platform, which offers options for internal combustion engines (ICE), electric, and hydrogen powertrains. This versatility, advanced aerodynamics, enhanced efficiency, and increased usability set the vehicle apart from its competitors. The jury, representing 25 European countries, unanimously praised the new model for its forward-thinking design and technological advancements.

Jarlath Sweeney, Chairman of the IVOTY jury, commended Renault for creating a future-proof vehicle that is adaptable to modern demands.

Renault Master wins Van of the Year

“This is a wonderful reward and a true tribute to all the teams who worked on this project,” said Heinz-Jürgen Löw, SVP at Renault LCVs. “New Master is a perfect example of what has made Renault’s light commercial vehicles amazing for more than 120 years: they are innovative, disruptive, multi-energy and designed to be customised in practically endless ways to meet each of our professional customers’ individual wants and needs.”

The Renault Master’s win follows the brand’s success earlier in 2024 when the Scenic E-Tech electric was named Car of the Year. This back-to-back success echoes Renault’s achievements nearly three decades ago when the Renault Scenic and Renault Master won their respective awards.
